Unfiltered ale beer with stunning fruity flavor. Due to generous additional of hops and dry hopping after the fermentation the beer gets less bitter and more complex aromas of apricot, tropical fruits and spruce needle.
NEW ENGLAND IPA
A New England IPA is essentially an American IPA with intense hop aroma, in particular tropical fruit, soft flavor and a less perceptible bitter taste compared to other IPAs. It has a very light color (from straw to gold), in some cases an orange shade. The foam is very dense and persistent, white in color. The aroma is dominated by the intense and fresh hops. It has a ripe tropical fruit flavor (mango, passion fruit, guava, pineapple, papaya) but also peach, apricot and citrus fruits. The malt has a taste of wheat or bread. Sometimes you perceive a slightly toasted, honeyed or rusky flavor. This beer is very fruity but should not be sugared or made heavy by unfermented sugars. The high level of esters, as well as the smooth body, the soft finish and the lack of hardness, can increase the perception of sweetness, but the sensation in the mouth derives more from the dextrins. The New England style appeared around the 2011 but after the publication of the Guide to Styles 2015 the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) it became even more popular.
